Call for applications: GUILD Summer School | Glasgow, 5-11 July 2020


This year the Guild Summer School will address the topic research communication. Doctoral Candidates can apply until 22 March.

The Guild Summer School is a great opportunity for PhD candidates to meet colleagues from across Europe and from multiple disciplinary backgrounds. Together, you’ll spend an intensive week reflecting, discussing, and building new skills. This year, the Gulid Summer School will take place at the University of Glasgow. The theme for the week will be research communication, which encompasses important topics relevant not only to the PhD experience, but also to your future career plans.

The one-week training includes:

  • Communicating research to diverse audiences/non-academic audiences
  • Communication within a multidisciplinary team
  • Communicating with external stakeholders
  • Communicating with the media
  • Communicating your expertise via your research profile

The University of Vienna can nominate doctoral candidates from the University of Vienna to join the summer school. Programme fee and travel costs will be covered by the University of Vienna.
