Doctoral Programme in Philosophy
The aim of the doctoral programme in Philosophy is to support early-career researchers and to provide students with the skills required for independent academic work in the field of philosophy. The programme includes independent research in the chosen dissertation area that meets international academic standards, as well as participation in courses and, where applicable, additional academic activities related to the dissertation project.
Admission requirements
Admission to the doctoral programme is possible throughout the year.
Supervision:
You need a supervisor at the University of Vienna to be admitted to a doctoral programme. Read more here: Supervision and topic
Required Documents:
- Certificates, Transcripts of record and Diploma supplement of your previous studies (BA and MA or diploma studies)
- Academic CV, Description of the intended doctoral project, Motivation letter - to the guidelines
- References: Please list two references in your CV (email contact and information about academic affiliation obligatory)
- Language proof (optional)
- Passport/personal ID
